The Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena offers unlimited skiing fun on 142 kilometres of slopes spread over the 7 ski areas Zugspitzplatt, Ehrwalder Alm, Berwang-Bichlbach, Ehrwalder Wetterstein, Grubigstein and Marienberg and is therefore very popular with winter sports enthusiasts. The Tyrolean Zugspitzbahn takes you up to the 2,950 m high summit, which Tyrol shares with Bavaria. Due to the great difference in altitude of 1,973 m between the mountain and valley stations, the pistes here are above average in length and offer the best conditions for beginners and ambitious experts alike.

55 funicular railways and lifts bring winter sports enthusiasts to the varied ski areas. With only one ski pass, the Top Snow Pass, all slopes can be used without restrictions. Very comfortable is the guest bus Bayern-Tirol, which takes skiers and snowboarders from one ski area to the next several times a day and can be used free of charge with a valid guest card. Here there is no boredom on the slopes.

The individual ski areas score points with excellently groomed pistes, snow-covered slopes and fantastic mountain panoramas. The Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena is also one of Austria's 3 most family-friendly ski areas and offers fun and action for the whole family.

The charming ski slopes in the Glacier ski area Zugspitzplatt are considered to be very snowy due to the altitude with an average of 7 months snow guarantee. Deep snow runs for boarders and skiers with fantastic views of the surrounding mountain ranges are one of the highlights at almost 3,000 m above sea level. Modern lifts with mostly only short waiting times provide a fast entrance into the ski area. Skiers and snowboarders will find approx. 17 km of red and blue slopes here. In the Terrain park, mostly open from January to April, freestylers can power up.

Below the Zugspitze, the ski area Ehrwalder Alm with 18 km of perfectly groomed blue pistes, 7.5 km of red pistes and a 2 km long black piste offers mainly a top skiing pleasure for beginners and re-starters. 8 lifts ensure short waiting times. The relatively flat slopes of the Hochfelderalm and the mountain station of the Almbahn also offer inexperienced skiers and snowboarders a lot of fun. Experts, on the other hand, prefer the black-marked panorama descent, while freestylers enjoy the Kämmli lift, while the Better Park convinces with various jumps, boxes and rails.

The ski area at Wetterstein has 9 blue (15 km) slopes, which make the area particularly attractive for families and beginners. The first child-resistant 6-seater chairlift brings even the little ski fans with child safety and protective hood safely up the slopes. For snowboarders, an area with a 120 metre long halfpipe awaits daring stunts. The MINI Funslope ´n´ Trail provides fun and action with various steep bends, rails and kickers.
Sun lift, ski school & practice lift are ideal for beginners and children. A varied gastronomy provides refreshment in between.

The big advantage in the skiing area Berwang-Bichlbach-Rinnen is that you can commute comfortably from one lift to the next and return to the starting point without any problems. From beginners to pro skiers, everyone will find the right downhill run at an altitude of between 1,100 m and 1,750 m on a total of approx. 36 km of slopes. 12 modern lifts ensure a fast transport from the village centre directly into the ski area. Experienced ski fans and snowboarders get their money's worth on the Sonnalmbahn and the Almkopf Bichlbahn, while the Mooslift and the Baerenrunde also make the first turns in skiing easier for beginners. The Obstacle Park at the Thanellerkar lift is mainly waiting for freestlye beginners.

The ski area Grubigstein in Lermoos with approx. 27 km mainly red slopes is very popular with sporty skiers as well as freeriders, boarders and locals. There are 9 varied downhill runs and a great snowboard area especially for boarders. The mostly sunny and snow-sure slopes offer wonderful views of the Zugspitze and attract winter sports fans from all over the area. The Freeride route at the summit of Grubigstein is well known and popular among connoisseurs. Here the freeriders can enjoy untouched deep snow, almost deserted descents and a fantastic mountain panorama.
A special attraction from the end of December to the middle of March are the "First Track" adventure ski rides at sunrise.

The ski area Marienberg is small and cosy with almost 10 km of slopes and six lifts and is therefore ideally suited for beginners and families who can also enjoy themselves here in the children's area Biberland.

In addition to the classic downhill skiing sport, the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena also offers plenty of variety away from the ski slopes.
At Grubigstein in Lermoos, for example, the longest nature toboggan run in the region with 3.5 kilometres awaits guests who need a break from skiing. The route runs from the Brettlalm to the valley station of the Hochmoosexpress. The fantastic winter landscape can also be enjoyed wonderfully on the 60 km of cleared winter hiking trails. Guided snowshoe hikes and a ski trail network with 110 km complete the offer of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena.
