Argentière (1252m)
Mont Blanc | Haute-Savoie | France
The ski village Argentière on ~1250 m belongs to the skiing area Chamonix-Mont Blanc. Even though the ski resort itself is quite contained, it offers winter sports people two very good reasons for spending their skiing holiday here. Firstly, the surrounding breathtaking landscape. And secondly, direct access to the skiing region Les Grands Montets.
The varied skiing region in the glacier Grands Montets, also known as the Argentière glacier, reaches a height of 3295 metres. To reach the peak, skiers need to cover two stages using a cable car. Additionally, there are a series of further lift systems belonging to the skiing region, which cover the entire 17-piste kilometres of the Grands Montets skiing region. These are distributed mostly over long and challenging slopes, like the pistes of the Pylônes, as well as numerous, sometimes very difficult, off-piste variations, like the well-known Pas de Chèvre.
Thanks to the snow park at the intermediate station of the Lognan cable car, with tables, slides and jumps for beginners, intermediates and experts, the skiing region of Les Grands Montets is not only much loved by ambitious skiers and freeriders, but also by snowboarders. For cross-country fans, there are 58 kilometres available that in part lead you through picturesque pine forests.
Discounts of up to 45% on ski and snowboard rental are available at our partner company SKISET Grands Montets Sports. You can book online directly on
