Les Menuires is situated in the middle of the most western of the Three Valleys / Trois Vallées, at about 1 850 m altitude.
Starting in Les Menuires you can ski in all directions: southbound to Val Thorens (up to 3 230 m) with the best snow conditions of the Three Valleys ski area; westbound to the 'La Masse' mountain chaine offering challenging ski slopes and freeride runs (we recommend a guide for off piste skiing); northbound to the cosy mountain village of Saint Martin de Belleville (1400 m), accessible by easy and medium ski runs; eastbound to the other two valleys of the Three Vallées ski area, Meribel and Courchevel. In Les Menuires almost all accommodations are situated at the ski slopes. Apart from the blocks of flats built in the sixties and seventies of the 20th century, a lot of new chalets have been built on the outskirts and in the surrounding mountain villages. There is a free ski bus connecting the districts of Les Menuires with the center (shopping mall, restaurants, bars, two outdoor swimming pools, ice-skating-rink, sledge run etc.).

The authentic mountain villages of Praranger, Le Bettaix and Levassaix are situated between Saint Martin and Les Menuires. Le Bettaix and Levassaix dispose of a direct connection to the ski area. Praranger is situated about 1 to 1,5 km from the ski slopes. On demand, the bakery from Les Menuires delivers baguettes and croissants to your chalet. Les Menuires and Saint Martin with their shops, restaurants and bars can be reached in a few minutes by car.
