Saint Sorlin and Saint Jean are two small and charming villages situated on a high valley. Luckily, they have not been discoverd by mass tourism. A couple of years ago, Saint Sorlin was only accessible via ski bus. But now – thanks to newly built ski lifts – you can reach directly not only 100 km of ski slopes situated above the village but as well the more than 300 km of ski slopes of the whole area. New apartment blocks and small chalet settlements have been built, some of them offer spas and indoor swimming pools, saunas and jacuzzis and much more. You can also do cross-country skiing and winter hiking. There are a couple of excellent restaurants and if you are interested in good French cheese go to Saint Jean to the cheese factory (factory sales)
