Nendaz (1400m)
Valais | Switzerland
Nendaz is situated on a high plateau south of the Rhone Valley and has an amazing view of the Bernese Alps. It is part of the ski area Verbier - Quatre Vallées and is therefore linked via ski lifts, slopes and cable cars with the Mont Fort Glacier and the ski stations Thyon-Les Collons, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Verbier. Siviez – which is situated on 1.700 m above sea level – belongs to Nendaz and is the centre point of the ski area Quatre Vallées. It is situated at the bottom of the Mont Fort. Ski lifts and slopes are normally open from end of November until end of April. Constant connections on ski between Nendaz and Siviez as well as with the ski bus (free of charge). You also can ski to La Tzoumaz, Thyon-Les Collons or Veysonnaz, so there are plenty of marvellous ski slopes to discover. In the centre of Nendaz are several shops, restaurants and pubs. There are ~ 100 km of winter hiking trails, snow shoe tours, and a toboggan run in Tortin.
