The ski area of Tignes-Val d'Isere (formerly known as Espace Killy) prides itself as "le plus bel espace de ski du monde", which means "the most beautiful ski area in the world". For sure it is one of the best ski areas in the world, with approx. 300 km of well prepared ski slopes for all kind of skiers. More than 70 lifts are available to winter sports enthusiasts. There are countless off-piste runs, ski routes and glacier slopes on the Grand Motte.
The longest descent Grand Mottes - Tignes stretches over 6.5 km and 1300 metres in altitude. There are also forest runs to Val d'Isere and to the villages below Tignes, such as the cosy Les Brevières and Les Boisses/Tignes 1800 which is situated near the reservoir.
In this grandiose ski area, everything is possible in terms of skiing, with snow guaranteed from the end of November until May.

If you want to do sports and exercise in nature, this is the right place for you and there is something for everyone. Numerous hiking routes for all fitness levels, fishing opportunities and a bike park are available. For more adrenaline, try the Acroland slide or a paragliding flight. Water sports enthusiasts can also enjoy rafting/kayaking or white water swimming.
